Neena Gupta Opens Up About The Challenges Of Shooting With A Dog

Neena shared the challenges of working with a dog named Moti in Dil Dosti Aur Dogs. The actress revealed that while she loves dogs, acting alongside one required patience and coordination. She mentioned that Moti had his mood swings, making certain scenes unpredictable. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, she said, “It is very difficult to work with a dog, woh chahe kitna bhi trained ho, uska caretaker usko bolna hi patta hai, baith jao, khade ho jao, rukho, chalo. Toh jab aap dialogue bol rahe hote hain, uske beech mein woh bhi bol raha hota hai caretaker toh woh bauth muskil hota hai. To act with a dog is very difficult, it requires a lot of patience because in the end a dog is a dog, he won’t work according to what you would say to him.”

She added talking about if the dog was trained for the scene or not, she said, “No matter how much you teach him, a dog is a dog, he is not a human being, you know, and you cannot force him, you have to show patience, so, if we are ready for a shot, he has to come to me and take the ball so during the shot he sometimes uses to come, sometimes just doesn’t take the ball, so it was difficult.”

Neena Gupta On Increase In Animal Abuse

Neena Gupta has voiced her concern over the rising cases of animal abuse, calling it heartbreaking and unacceptable. She said,“I cannot understand how can someone harm an animal. Whosoever is doing it is mentally disturbed because normal people cannot do this. I think their mental balance is not okay.”

Furthermore, she expressed that despite the challenges, Neena found the experience rewarding and unique. She praised the dog’s trainers for ensuring smooth shoots. She also talked about what built her interest in saying yes to this project, she said, “I liked the script and I liked the role very much because this is something I have never done before so it was a nice challenge for me to do this role. The way all the stories are connected together is the most interesting part.”

The film centred around the bond between humans and dogs, promises to be a heartwarming watch, with Neena Gupta adding her charm to this emotional story.
